I agree that we need to stop cheating death AND have a living will or whatever people are suggesting. I would NEVER want to be like that woman that cost $5million. I think it's hypocritical though for certain loud gov't officials to call these ethical committees "death squads" and try to defend "life" before it even has happened (fetuses, deprive women of the right to choose when they want to get pregnant via birth control, etc) and then try to say any hospital committee who doesn't WANT TO (oh Lord, God forbid someone doens't want to) pay for an ill person to live with tubes... i dunno the whole thing seems hypocritical. We can't have it both ways. Either we practice preventative medicine and all the garbage that comes with that (fat people being told to put the cookie down, being coerced into weight loss surgery, denied services because THEY DON'T LISTEN TO THEIR DOCTORS, etc etc) or keep flushing money down the toilet while doctors and nurses work on the front lines and corporate america gets richer. What's sad is somebody is getting rich off these sick people; sick huh?!?!? Thanks for bringing to light this documentary. I hope people spread the word to watch it. I have a whole new perspective on cancer, cancer treatment and the hubs and I have set it straight between the two of us: pull the plug if we are in a vegetative state and will not recover. I can't imagine loving someone and letting them live in that hell with bed sores and morphine nightmares... If I cheat and eat something that I know isn't good for me I can feel and see it the next day. Talk about positive bio-feedback! I've always been a runner, but I've never been this thin--even when I was training for a marathon. I weigh less now than I did on my wedding day--eleven years and four kids ago. I would rather not be the one that costs the government 5 million to be hooked up to machines in a hospital when it could have gone to better cause. No living will yet, but I think my family knows I wouldn't want to be selfish by making people care for me that long with no hope of recovering.Miss Liabilitieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01112789784010145878noreply@blogger.com
