See You Monday

Ladies, it is that time of the month again.... Medical Mondays is on December 2nd and that happens to be just 2 days away now. Even less if you are one of those that wakes up early:-)

Thanksgiving was great. Who doesn't give thanks for good food, homemade pies, friends and family? Black Friday I ignore because I like bucking trends, but it turns out that not buying is now the trend this year so I was left in a bit of a pickle. Or were they just promoting not buying anything on Thanksgiving day? Either way I hate shopping when someone tells me I must shop. I shop on my own terms and preferably alone. There is no alone on Black Friday.

There are now 25 days left until Christmas, and that means I need to find some great gifts that actually get used, unlike the apple TV i purchased for my husband for our anniversary that is still wrapped in cellophane. Maybe I can re-gift it this year.

So that's the spill. This post is a pure plug for Medical Mondays coming to you in 36 hours. See you then!

  1. haha... apple tv, regift it! I think regifting is one of the most amazing things I discovered not last Christmas, but the one before. We were preparing to move and the last thing I wanted was a gum ball machine, or a candy bar bouquet. But, the secretaries I worked with were pretty happy with both! No one was any wiser that those gifts were not originally meant for them. Why would they need to know this? I mean, seriously. I love it!

Also, what's up with the Thanksgiving shopping day? When did this become a "thing."

    1. I know some stores opened on Thanksgiving evening last year (my mom is the shopper), but before Thanksgiving lunch/early dinner was over people were already shopping like at 4:00 pm.

  2. Black Friday is now Black Thursday. I can't handle it. I'm so grateful all our kids want is cash. They like to shop the after Christmas sales themselves. I don't even have to drive them to the mall anymore. Yay! Looking forward to MM!!!

    1. My kids don't know what cash is yet:-) But they have started wanting some pretty expensive toys. That's what I get for letting them look at catalogs at my mothers house. Those mailers never see more than 2 minutes between the mail box and the recycling bin!

  3. I also don't participate in Black Friday! It's way too stressful and not worth saving a few bucks to me. Cyber Monday is more my cup of tea. No lines or crazy people to deal with!
